生姜なんですかね？僕も自信ないんですが 笑。ローカルの友人は、これは生姜だ！美味い！って言っていました 笑。ハワイのラーメンは米国本土と比較すると、早く導入された割に、進化が遅い印象です。NYなどでは、日本とほとんど変わらない味が楽しめます。

My opinion is from just an American palate. I enjoyed the spicy miso ramen it def had ginger taste. It was flavorful with tasty bites of garlic and ginger. Just enough spice to enjoy. I think their ramen is good, but not "wow".
The ramen was good, but the service was absolutely HORRIBLE. You'll see a line of Japanese tourists which will make you think this place is worth coming to if Japanese people want to eat ramen outside of Japan. Well, you're wrong. It's not worth it. The place is not bad, but not really worth the wait.
